Transforming
organisations requires
learning-centred
cultures.
Our Leading Learning-Centred Cultures Professional Learning Program is designed for leaders who recognise the power, value and necessity of learning-centred organisational culture.
These leaders want to develop their skills in learning-centred leadership, enabling them to enhance learning environments within their teams and contexts.
Learning-centred cultures have three vital capabilities - they spark an authentic motivation to learn in their members, they ensure those members have the ability, or capacity, to learn and they ensure members have access to learning opportunities.
Modern organisations often have a stated learning component - theoretically. There are myriad online learning portals in organisations, that produce groans of boredom from employees forced to undertake very dull, superficial and repetitive learning modules, often for things that seem obvious or unnecessary.
As education specialists, we understand that deep learning - the kind that garners engagement, creates a desire for inner change, and transforms organisational culture for the better - doesn’t happen with automated, mandatory online learning modules. They may be required by law, but that’s not a deeply engaged learning culture.
Learning-centred cultures recognise that when employees become active, motivated learners, no challenge or sector-change, no disruption or organisational transition, is cause for fear, despair or overwhelm. Energised learners understand their agency and capability to learn new skills, as well as feeling supported and connected to their teams as they face the tasks of innovation, change and re-imagining their work together.
Learning is the key to meeting life’s challenges.
Learning is central to adapting, innovating and staying relevant to markets, sectors and customers.
Learning is core to career development and meeting goals.
Learning is what will enable your team to grow your business.
“…the organizations that will truly excel into the future will be the organizations that discover how to tap people’s commitment and capacity to learn at all levels of the organization.”
Learning-centred cultures are explicitly
creative, collaborative and critically reflective,
with open, multi-way communication.
4C Organisations are a team of expert educators, skilled in delivering deep professional learning in these 4C capabilities.
As leaders and team members work with us to develop these capabilities,
we further support them in creating and maintaining
organisation-wide practices and approaches that underpin vibrant learning-centred cultures.
Our professional learning is focused on bespoke and sustainable responses to each organisation's needs and opportunities.
How our learning program works
-
We’ll sit down with you and your key team members, learn about your challenges, strengths and learning goals. Then we’ll co-construct a learning program to meet your needs, budgets and time constraints.
-
We’ll deliver the learning at your office or site. This program delivers regular sessions, perhaps fortnightly, perhaps monthly, as per our co-constructed plan. Team members will have implementation challenges to undertake between sessions, built to assist them in carrying the learning of each session into their role and responsibilities. And we’ll check in with learners individually, to ensure they’re deepening their learning and growing their skills, as well as conduct team check-in and reflective reviews.
-
Our program includes the possibility of large group sessions, small group sessions and individual sessions. We can also tailor leadership or executive learning. Our sessions can be half day or full day, and sessions with individuals are usually 60-90 minutes. Reflective supervision is also available as a component, which is possible as one-on-one or group supervision. As we meet with you and discuss your learning needs, we’ll suggest the learning formats we believe will best benefit you and your team.
-
4C Organisations have a wide range of curriculum topics that can be integrated into our learning programs. These include understanding and building capacity using the 4Cs (creativity, communication, collaboration and critical reflection), understanding ourselves as learners with strengths and not-yet strengths using the Learning Disposition Wheel, understanding leadership using the Leadership Wheel, and much more.
